In 2023 Warwick District Council's administration set out its ambition for the council in its new Corporate Strategy – Towards 2030.

The priority areas included financial and environmental sustainability, delivery of high-quality services,  reducing carbon emissions and creating vibrant, safe and healthy communities.

Also attracting external funding to support key projects.

The recent review of the corporate strategy assessed the council's progress against its three priority areas and against the timing of local government reorganisation, to determine which initiatives could be completed and which could be progressed beyond local government reorganisation.

Cllr Ian Davison, Leader Warwick District Council said: "This review was not about adding any new priorities but to reaffirm our  commitment to supporting our residents, communities, the environment and our businesses.

"We set some ambitious priorities in our corporate strategy, and we've already made great progress which we'll continue to deliver on, for example, retrofitting our council housing and improving energy efficiency across our civic buildings, delivering financial efficiencies with our Change Programme and supporting the Police in tackling ASB with the work of our Community Wardens.

"And whilst local government reorganisation is on the horizon, it is important to stress that this council remains committed to delivering the services our residents need and to supporting the most vulnerable in our society.

"The corporate strategy continues to provide a framework for our joint working with partners and organisations."
