Chiltern Railways has warned customers that there will be no trains to Warwick or Warwick Parkway stations on Saturday October 1 and Wednesday October 5.

The rail operator has confirmed that it will not be running services on any of its routes on either of the two days as more strikes have been announced.

Train drivers at 12 rail companies represented by the Aslef union are to strike on both days, with Transport Salaried Staffs' Association (TSSA) workers joining on the Saturday.

The Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union will join strikes on October 1 and Saturday October 8.

And following the cancelled services on Saturday, Chiltern has warned that services on Sunday, October 2 will start later than usual due to the displacement of trains.

Chiltern said there should not be an impact to services on Thursday 6 October, but trains may be busier than usual.

And the operator confirmed that if customers have booked a ticket for 1 October, it is valid for travel on the 30 September - Tuesday 4 October inclusive.

If customers have booked a ticket for the 5 October, it is valid for travel on the 4 October - Friday 7 October inclusive.

Chiltern also expects to operate a significantly reduced timetable on Saturday 8 October with further information to be confirmed.
