A building at Warwick Hospital which is in a "poor state of repair" could be demolished and replaced.
South Warwickshire NHS University Foundation Trust has asked for prior approval to flatten block 140 which is in one of the car parks at Lakin Road.
The application to Warwick District Council said: "The proposed demolition relates to a modular building (Block 140) located in Car Park C of Warwick Hospital, accessed off Lakin Road.
"The building has previously been used as a bed decontamination unit as part of the hospital's wider service provision.
"It is a single storey modular building."
Plans state the unit would be replaced with another building "serving a different purpose".
The application comes as the trust unveiled the new entrance at Warwick Hospital this month. The major milestone forms part of the wider renovations at the hospital.
