It will take place in the first floor club room at https://the-embankment.co.uk/

PLEASE NOTE - To access the club room please enter The Embankment on the left-hand side and go up the stairs to the first floor, the club room is then on your right.

The Only After Dark Country Club is an event based on the Bowie nights and the Rum Runner/Blitz Club nights of the late '70s/early '80s.

MUSIC

Most of the tracks played originate from the early '70s up to the end of 1985, added to which will be some post-1985 tracks by the core artists.

There are at least half a dozen Bowie tracks added to which are a selection of tracks by artists such as Adam & the Ants, Bauhaus, Blondie, Clash, Cure, Damned, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Gary Numan, Heaven 17, Human League, Japan, Kraftwerk, Mott the Hoople, New Order, OMD, Ramones, Roxy Music, Sex Pistols, Simple Minds, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Soft Cell, Spandau Ballet, Sparks, Sweet, T Rex, Ultravox, Visage and many other artists from the Glam Rock, Punk, New Wave, Post-punk, Electronic and New Romantic genres, as well as occasional tracks from other genres of the time.

You will also hear a few tracks by post-1985 artists who were influenced by the era, such as Suede, Pulp, Morrissey, Placebo.

It will be a mix of hit singles, lesser hits, and album tracks.

TRAINS

Available to and from Stratford-upon-Avon/Smethwick via Birmingham (Shirley line) - 19 min walk to The Embankment.

Trains arrive at Stratford-upon-Avon at 12.19pm and 1.19pm.

Trains leave from Stratford-upon-Avon at 6.26pm and 7.26pm.

BUSES

X20 to and from Stratford-upon-Avon/Solihull via Shirley - 11 min walk to The Embankment.

Buses arrive at Stratford-upon-Avon at 12.14pm and 2.14pm.

Bus leaves from Stratford-upon-Avon at 6.14pm.

CLOAKROOM

There is a clothes rail inside the club room that is free to use, although we take no responsibility for your belongings.

TOILETS

At the top of the stairs before you enter the club room.

SMOKING AREA

Exclusive to those attending the OADCC, access through the door to the left of the DJ booth and down the stairs.

VISUALS

The music is accompanied by videos on 3 TV screens.

AIR CONDITIONING

The club room has air conditioning.

DISABLED ACCESS

There is no disabled access/lift to the club room. There is, however, a public disabled access toilet to the left of the entrance to The Embankment.

DRESS CODE

The more individual and glamorous the better, but most important ... be yourself.
