Reports of individuals jumping from bridges in Warwick have prompted police patrols throughout the town.

Officers from Warwick Police went out on foot patrol in St Nicholas' park after reports including concerns of people jumping off Castle Bridge and Charter Bridge yesterday evening (25 June).

It comes during this week's heatwave, which has seen temperatures reach the mid-30s in and around Warwickshire and the UK.

Taking to Facebook Warwick Police shared: "Words of advice were given to several groups in the area, warning them about the dangers of jumping into the river."

Nonetheless, officers shared they were glad families were out enjoying the 'nice weather.'
