'A Taste of Ale' Smart Talk

The Lord Leycester Smart Talk series returns in September after a short break over the summer. September's Smart Talk is on 'A Taste of Ale' - The evolution of the Public House, presented by Graham Sutherland.

'A Taste of Ale' is an illustrated look at some drinking customs and how the public house, commonly called the pub, has evolved from Roman times to the late 18th century. Originally just an establishment for the provision of liquid refreshments to bona fide travellers, the pub, became an integral part of the community, although its future is not guaranteed...

Tickets cost £25.00 per head, which includes: the presentation, a light supper (Lasagne or Vegetarian Lasagne with Garlic Bread, a sunblush tomato & red pepper salad), and your first drink (Beer, Wine or Soft Drink). Additional drinks are available to purchase throughout the evening.

Tickets are available to book on our website or alternatively you can show up and pay on the door. In this case, we encourage you to email: [email protected] or call: 01926 491422 to reserve your tickets in advance!
