Works around Queensway and Myton Road 'still on track'

Works around the Queensway and Myton Road roundabouts are still on track to be finished this year, the county council has confirmed.
Roadworks have hit the area for the past few months as works to add an extra carriageway, install new traffic lights and widen the pedestrian path have progressed.
An update published by Warwickshire County Council last week said the scheme remains "on track for completion" with several "key phases" completed in July and August.
"The footpaths are now fully completed and are open to the public," the update said.
"The drainage attenuation basin was also finished, topped with soil, and landscaped."
Recent works have also seen a new widened and signalised pedestrian crossing island built on Myton Road.
The project around the A452 was planned to help deal with the increased traffic from the hundreds of new houses being built in the area.
The update continued: "We continue to thank all residents, businesses, and visitors to the area for their co-operation and patience as we work to deliver these improvements.
"The works are progressing as scheduled, and scheme completion remains on track for summer 2025.
"On behalf of WCC and CR Reynolds, we apologise for any inconvenience/delays you may encounter due to the construction activities and temporary traffic management in place."
