Woman dies in M40 crash near Warwick

A woman has died in a crash on the M40 near Warwick, police have confirmed.
Warwickshire Police was called to the scene between junctions 15 and 16 at around 4.35pm on Wednesday (September 3).
Police said the incident on the northbound carriageway saw a "vehicle in collision with a woman".
"The woman was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene," a force statement added.
"Her next of kin has been informed."
The road was closed until around 10pm last night while emergency services attended the scene and completed an accident investigation.
