The lucky winner of Nub News' Valentine's competition to win a bottle of St Maur elderflower liqueur is Suzette Vaughan from Meriden.

The multi-international award-winning family-run St Maur business was established by William and Kelsey Seymour, Earl and Countess of Yarmouth, for their own wedding guests at Ragley Hall in Alcester, Warwickshire.

Handcrafted by the couple, it is a versatile drink, perfect for both sipping and mixing in long drinks and cocktails.

Suzette said she loved receiving her prize and sampling her St Maur.

She is pictured above drinking a highball cocktail unique to St Maur, named "The Laughing Cavalier" as a nod to the family connection with The Wallace Art Collection in London.

Suzette said: "I was delighted to receive my bottle of St Maur.

"I hadn't tried it before, but St Maur will most definitely be a staple in my cocktail cabinet now. It's also delicious neat over ice."

Steeped in history, St Maur uses the surname for the Seymour family in medieval times.

By the time Jane Seymour married Henry VIII the name had changed from 'St Maur' to 'Seymour.'

The wild blossoms used to make the elderflower liqueur are hand-picked by William and Kelsey in the shadow of trees which grew when William's ancestors were young.

Co-ordinates on the bottles will take you to Ladies Wood a family-owned woodland in the Warwickshire countryside, and to an elder grove where the elderflowers are picked early summer.
