This is the day before the national event on Saturday 27 January, to allow local school children to be fully involved.

2. Jazz
Head to the Bridge House Theatre this weekend for the "best swinging night in town, twice!"
The Myton Road venue is hosting two nights of jazz this weekend - on Friday (January 26) and Saturday.

3. Feathers and Forests Masquerade Ball
Meanwhile at the Playbox Theatre on Saturday (January 27) it's time for the Feathers & Forests Masquerade Ball!

"Dance instruction will be given by the brilliant Hannah Hampson during the evening.
