1. Leamington Food and Drink Festival

Thousands of foodies are expected to descend on Leamington this weekend as a popular event returns.

The Leamington Food and Drink Festival is set to be held in the Pump Room Gardens between 10am and 6pm on Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10.

The event will feature everything from cookery demonstrations, live cook-off competitions, children's activities and live music from the bandstand.

More than 115 exhibitors, including 40 town centre businesses, will also be in attendance to showcase the very best food and drink from across the region.

2. Heritage Open Days

Once again dozens of buildings in Warwick district, some of which are not normally accessible to the public will be opening their doors for Heritage Open Days.

This year's event, which is part of England's largest festival of history and culture, runs from 8 to 17 September with more than 40 events, openings and tours taking place.

Highlights this year include an opportunity to visit the oldest tennis club in the world, discover a hidden gem at Guy's Cliffe Walled Garden or to join one or more of a variety of themed guided walks around Leamington, Warwick and Kenilworth.

Among the historic venues taking part is the Lord Leycester in Warwick with visitors able to book a free tour of the 900-year-old buildings following its multi-million-pound renovation.
