Here are our top picks for the coming days:

1. Light Trail

It's the last chance to enjoy Christmas at Warwick Castle, with the ice rink and light trail at the castle until Saturday January 7.

"Our festive Light Trail returns to illuminate the castle and its grounds, bigger and better than ever before, with impressive new installations and thousands of shimmering lights spread across the iconic castle grounds," the castle said.

"As dusk arrives, immerse yourself in breathtaking surroundings lit up with larger-than-life illuminations.

"Wander the beautiful gardens with twinkling trees and projections that light up the sky. Whatever your age, our castle Light Trail is sure to bring the real magic of Christmas to life."

2. Warwick Market

Following the festive period, Warwick Market is back this Saturday in Market Square.

"Step into a world of shopping delight in our vibrant open-air setting, where independent shops and cafes surround you," organiser CJ's Events Warwickshire said.

"Our market is not just any ordinary marketplace – it's a fantastic opportunity for you to explore and discover a wide range of variety and value.

"As you stroll through our market, you'll come across an exciting assortment of stalls, each offering something unique. From fresh and seasonal fruits and vegetables to beautiful plants and cut flowers, we have it all. Don't forget to indulge in the aroma of freshly baked goods and explore the catch of the day at our fish stalls."

3. Walled Garden Reopens

Guy's Cliffe Walled Garden reopens on Friday (January 5) to guests.

The Walled Garden was originally part of the kitchen garden for Guy’s Cliffe House from at least the 1770s to the late 1940s.

Having been brought back into use by a group of volunteers, the gardens are a popular local attraction.

And they will be open again from 10am to 3.30pm on Fridays and Sundays throughout January - starting this weekend!
