A Warwick pub has shut its doors just six months after reopening under new owners.

Caviar & Chips opened No.34 Garden and Grill in March this year, after landlord Everards Brewery had to step in and bring in new management as the venue - previously called the Racehorse - struggled to recover from the pandemic.

But the Stratford Road eatery has taken to social media today (October 14) to announced that it has gone into administration and shut.

A statement on social media said: "It's with great sadness that we announce that No.34 Garden & Grill has entered into administration and must close its doors for good.

"Our hope is that our brewery Everards will find suitable new tenants to take on this wonderful community pub / restaurant as soon as possible.

"Over 50 pubs are closing every month and for all of those businesses still surviving we wish you well and sincerely hope there's a rapid turnaround for the hospitality sector.

"We'd like to say a huge thank you to our team, suppliers and whole community for supporting our journey, albeit a short one."

As well as No.34, hospitality group Caviar & Chips also runs the Virgins & Castle in Kenilworth as well as boutique wedding venue Stockton House in Shropshire.

Nub News has contacted Caviar & Chips for comment.
