Warwick planning roundup: Gym's future, industrial site and padel courts

Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.
Gym's Future
Warwick locals have been split over a new Warwick gym which opened without planning permission.
Foundry Gym on Millers Road has been forced to submit a planning application after finding out it did not have planning permission to open, saying it was "misadvised" by its property agents.
The retrospective application has been put forward to Warwick District Council just months after the chain opened at Horizon House in January.
And now around 100 locals have submitted notices of support to the application.
Padel Problems?
Warwick Boat Club did not have permission to install a temporary padel court at its Mill Street site, and councillors will next week decide whether it can keep the facility.
A retrospective planning application for the "pop up" court will be decided by Warwick District Council's (WDC) planning committee.
Some 17 objections have been submitted to the scheme, with locals questioning the impact of parking, "precedent for further development" and impact on the "historically sensitive area".
Industrial Site Revealed
Plans have been submitted for a new manufacturing and logistics development near Gaydon which could create up to 500 jobs.
Midlands-based Deeley Group has submitted a planning application for the employment-led development at Banbury Road, Gaydon.
The development could deliver up to 500,000 sq ft of high-quality employment space, providing 400 to 500 jobs across multiple sectors and support for local skills and apprenticeships.
