Warwick planning roundup: Costa, leper hospital and gym 'misadvised'

Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.
Gym 'Misadvised'
A national gym chain has said it was "misadvised" by the property agents behind its new Warwick gym.
Foundry Gym on Millers Road has been forced to submit a planning application after finding out it did not have planning permission to open.
The retrospective application comes just months after the chain opened at Horizon House in January.
Drive Thru Objections
Objections have once again flooded in against plans to open a drive thru Costa right next to Warwick Cemetery.
Warwick 27a Ltd has doubled down on its plans for the takeaway at Birmingham Road, unveiling updated designs and plans in May.
The fresh designs include more planting around the coffee shop to screen it from view.
Leper Hospital Boost
A Building Preservation Trust charity has been awarded £2,825,000 in funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund for the St Michael's Place project in Warwick.
Made possible by National Lottery players, the project aims to save historic buildings at an 800-year-old hospital site and transform them into new affordable rent homes.
The funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund will help West Midlands Historic Buildings Trust, which is part of the West Midlands Heritage Trust group, implement plans to repair and refurbish the Master's House and St Michael's Chapel in Saltisford, Warwick, both Grade II* listed historic buildings that date from the 15th century.
