Warwick planning roundup: Charity shop, new flats and office plan refused

Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.
Charity Shop
Plans to open a new charity shop in Warwick have taken a step forward thanks to a decision from council planners.
Warwick District Council has granted planning permission for a number of signs at the unit at Coten End.
Plans show the building is set to become a shop for the Salvation Army, having been vacated by Wickes.
New Flats Coming?
Plans have been submitted to transform a shop used for selling second-hand cars, parking and a sign printing business into flats in Warwick.
Permission is being sought to build five flats on the site located on the corner of Cross Street and Priory Road.
The planning application proposes the construction of a two and three-storey building containing five flats with a small amenity area to the rear.
Office Plan Pushed
Council planners have refused permission for a number of unsold Warwick offices to be turned into flats.
Faxton Ltd had applied for planning permission to convert the four new offices at Emscote Old Wharf into homes after the units have remained vacant since being built.
The scheme would have seen four, two-bedroom flats created at the development which itself was only given planning permission in 2019.
