Twenty Flats Opposition
Forty locals have objected to plans to build 20 new flats in Warwick.
Sunkari Ltd has applied for planning permission for the one-bedroom apartments on Nelson Lane.
If approved, the flats would be split across two buildings.
Parking Plans Progress
A Warwick pub has won its planning battle to turn its car park into a garden area, following a unanimous decision by councillors.
Warwick District Council's planning committee last night (November 5) approved an application from The Old Fourpenny Shop Hotel.
The Crompton Street inn said there was ample parking in the local area, and argued its off street car park is hard for motorists to access as they have to drive through a narrow arch.
Supermarket Sweep
A self-service laundrette could be installed at Warwick's Tesco.
The supermarket chain and Timpson ltd has launched a joint venture to open a Johnson Laundry Kiosk at the Emscote Road store.
A planning application has been lodged with Warwick District Council for the structure, which would cover two parking spaces.
