Warwick planning roundup: 1,000 solar panels, parking 'havoc' and Wetherspoon
Here are the biggest planning stories from the last week in and around Warwick.
Solar Panel Plans
Plans to install nearly 1,000 solar panels at the guide dog training centre on Banbury Road have been revealed.
Guide Dogs for the Blind Association has applied to Warwick District Council to cover the roofs of almost all the buildings at the Bishop's Tachbrook site with PV panels.
If approved, the scheme would see 962 panels installed with a capacity of 394.42kWp.

Parking 'Havoc'
A privately-owned space traditionally used for car parking in Tanworth-in-Arden is set to have a bungalow built on it to the dismay of local residents.
Stratford-on-Avon District Council's planning committee granted permission for landowner Syed Hussain to build a one-bedroom bungalow in Bellfield, Tanworth, despite warnings that the loss of parking spaces would cause "havoc".
Two pre-applications – where a developer sounds out the council on the principle of building somewhere – and a full application that was later withdrawn have been put forward for a house on the plot in the past two years prior to these plans for a single-storey home.
----------
Wetherspoon
Warwick's Wetherspoon has been granted permission to keep its outside seating for the next 12 months.
Warwick District Council has allowed the Thomas Lloyd pub to keep its pavement licence until next September.
New laws on pavement licences were brought into effect in the summer of 2020 to make it easier for businesses to apply for permission to put furniture outside during the pandemic.
