Warwick pensioner arrested after allegedly abusing woman on bus in Leamington

A 73-year-old man from Warwick has been arrested after allegedly racially abusing a woman om a bus in Leamington Spa.

Warwickshire Police said the reported incident took place on the number one bus on Wednesday (28 February).

The force said the man got on the bus outside Tesco on the Parade at around 11pm.

Police say they are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the altercation.

The man was arrested on suspicion of committing a racially aggravated public order offence.

He has since been bailed until April while enquiries continue.
