Warwick now fifth most expensive place to live in Warwickshire

Warwick is now the fifth most expensive Warwickshire town to live in, according to new data released by HM Land Registry.

The data uses the average prices of houses sold in each area, across the 12 months leading up to the middle of March.

The last time Nub News looked at this data, Kenilworth topped the list, but the town has now been leapfrogged by Henley-in-Arden.

According to the Land Registry data, the average property price in Warwick over the past year was £371,741.

The rest of the top five is made up by Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon and Kenilworth.

Detached properties in Warwick sold on average for £548,151 and terraced for £371,445.

Most of the properties sold in the last 12 months in Warwick were flats, with an average price of £247,253.

Overall, sold prices in Warwick over the last year were four per cent down on the previous year and two per cent up on the 2021 peak of £365,719.

The average property price across Warwickshire was £310,204.
