A Warwick man is one of seven to be arrested after protests in the north of the county over the weekend.

The 36-year-old was arrested for a public order offence after the protests in Nuneaton.

All seven have been bailed, meanwhile the other six men have all been banned from returning to Warwickshire.

"On Saturday we worked with all involved to balance the rights of those people who wished to peacefully protest with the needs of the local community," Warwickshire Police said.

"The majority of people expressed their views peacefully, however we arrested the following individuals on suspicion of committing public order offences."

  • A 36-year-old man from Warwick.
  • A 30-year-old man from Newport.
  • A 25-year-old man from Llanddoged.
