Warwick footballer among locals recognised in King’s Honours Lists

Multiple Warwick locals have been recognised in the King's Birthdays Honours List.

The full list was released over the weekend, with residents across the county receiving honours.

Professor Glen Warren Burley has been given a knighthood for services to the NHS. He is chief executive of The Foundation Group and deputy chief executive of NHS England.

Dr Martin Reeves was awarded an OBE (Officers of the Order of the British Empire) for his services to local government. Dr Reeves is the chief executive at Oxfordshire County Council.

Three Warwick residents have been handed MBEs (Member of the Order of the British Empire).

Stuart Balnaves of the Department for Education received his for public service.

Footballer Jess Carter received hers for services to football.

And Dr Heidi Meyer for services to heritage in her role as Master of the Lord Leycester Hospital.

Leanne Howlett of the Institute of Health Visiting has also received a BEM (British Empire Medal) for services to health visiting.
