Warwick is now the fifth most expensive Warwickshire town to live in, according to new data released by HM Land Registry.

The data uses the average prices of houses sold in each area, across the 12 months leading up to the middle of June.

The last time Nub News looked at this data Warwick was also ranked fifth.

According to the Land Registry data, the average sold property price in Kenilworth over the past year was £373,939.

The rest of the top five is made up by Kenilworth, Stratford-upon-Avon, Henley-in-Arden and Leamington Spa.

The majority of sales in Warwick over the past year were flats, with an average price of £249,687.

Detached properties fetched £532,759 on average, followed by semi-detached at £360,358.

Sold prices in Warwick were five per cent lower than the previous year.

The average property price across Warwickshire was £310,907.
