Residents in Warwick District looking to improve the energy efficiency of their homes are being urged to apply for a free home energy assessment to find the right solution for their home.

This could be with measures such as air source heat pumps, solar panels and insulation.

This innovative pilot programme by Warwick District Council, in partnership with Go Renewable, has already seen some residents benefit from expert guidance, advice and support when exploring the installation of renewable technologies.

Cllr Lowell Williams, Portfolio Holder for Decarbonisations, said: "It's great to see that some residents have already benefited from this pilot scheme. Time is running out though, so if you're beginning your retrofit journey and could benefit from expert advice and support, please do get in touch with Go Renewable and take advantage of this fully funded scheme."

The scheme, which closes at the end of March 2026, provides a limited number of eligible residents with fully subsidised home surveys to assess their property's suitability for renewable technologies.

The initiative is part of Warwick District Council's 'Low Cost-Low Carbon' programme, to help residents lower their carbon emissions and energy bills.

The Go Renewable home survey gives accurate, impartial, expert advice along with in-depth information on properties which include:

• the most suitable technologies for your home

• recommendations for where the technology could go in your home

• calculations for how much heat is lost from each room

• tailored advice to improve your home's energy efficiency

• an updated energy performance certificate (EPC) if required

This survey can then be used to obtain quotes from MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) certified installers through a secure Go Renewable hub.
