A Warwick councillor has resigned for "personal reasons" meaning a by-election can now be called.

Raj Kang has resigned from his role represent All Saints & Woodloes ward at Warwick District Council, a statement on the council website confirmed today (November 27).

The process to fill the vacant seat has now been triggered, with locals now asked to write to request a by-election.

In the meantime, locals are asked to direct any ward-related enquiries to Cllr John Paul Sullivan or Cllr Paul Wightman.

Mr Kang was first elected as a Labour representative to the district authority in May, as the group took all three seats from the Conservatives in the All Saints & Woodloes ward.

The Notice of Vacancy can be found here.
