Warwick Town Council

Warwick Town Council has been given listed building consent to put up a blue plaque in the memory of William Holland, on the Old Glassworks building on Priory Road.

Organised by Warwick Town Council and its twin towns, applications are now open to find the four young people, aged between 16 and 21, to represent the town at EuroCamp 2024.

Warwick District Council

Warwick District Council is set to continue its trial of measures this spring and summer to boost endangered bird populations on St Mary's Lands in Warwick.

Harmonious discussions over Warwick District Council's budget took a twist over how to spend a last-ditch boost from government.

Around 79,000 email addresses of people living in South Warwickshire - including Warwick district - were leaked by a member of staff at Stratford-upon-Avon District Council last year.

Works to widen and strengthen a hedge at Chase Meadow in Warwick have recently been completed by Warwick District Council's green spaces team as part of a district wide hedge-laying programme.

Warwickshire County Council

WCC's February has been dominated by the ongoing row over the comments made by three Conservative councillors about SEND children.

An investigation is ongoing into the words of councillors Jeff Morgan, Brian Hammersley and Clare Golby at the end of January, with thousands of residents calling on them to resign.

Leader of the council has refused to sack them, but they have been removed from the Children & Young People's Overview & Scrutiny Committee, where they made the controversial comments.

The county council has also voted to approve a rise in council tax, but also agreed not to cut children and families centres, recycling centres and reducing winter road gritting and school crossing patrols.

The bridge over the A46 at Stoneleigh will close for nearly two weeks next month, for works around the new junction.

Car parking charges at Stratford Greenway Country Park are set to increase by up to a quarter – but prices have been frozen at other locations.

Locals are being asked to have their say on plans to paint more double yellow lines on roads around Warwick.

Bridleways and paths across Warwickshire could be changed in the next few years as the county council calls on local residents to share their views - and the consultation has now been extended.

An opposition group leader who highlighted Warwickshire County Council's failure to comply with a court ruling had his query abruptly curtailed in a spiky exchange.
