Locals are being asked to have their say on plans to paint more double yellow lines on roads around Warwick.

Warwickshire County Council (WCC) is currently considering introducing new parking restrictions across the county, including on seven roads in Warwick.

The local authority has launched a consultation before it starts the legal process to introduce any of the changes.

Locals have until Sunday 3 March to have their say on extending the waiting time on Old Budbrooke Road from 30 minutes to one hour.

WCC is also asking for feedback on plans for more double yellow lines at:

  • The junction of Ashley Crescent and Myton Road
  • The Chantry
  • Junctions of Maynard Avenue and Frances Avenue
  • Myton Crescent
  • Pickard Street
  • Wharf Street

"Over the past year Warwickshire County Council have received numerous requests for changes to the parking restrictions across Warwick district," a WCC statement said.

"These requests have each been assessed and the schemes that are believed to have the greatest benefit are proposed."

It added: "Before progressing to this legal stage, we would be interested to hear local opinions and comments regarding these proposals."
