A Warwick takeaway has applied for permission to start selling alcohol.

Spinney Hill Fish Bar has asked Warwick District Council (WDC) for a premises licence so it can add alcohol to its takeaway sales.

The Percy Estate business wants to be able to sell booze for off-site consumption from 10am to 11pm Monday to Saturday, and from 10am to 10pm on Sundays.

The application to WDC says the takeaway will "maintain open communication with local authorities & residents, addressing any concerns".

It says staff will be trained and an under-age drinking policy put in place.

This as well as: "Preventing actions or situations that could disturb the peace of the local community.

"Address any complaints from neighbours.

"Efforts to be made to ensure that the establishment's activities do not negatively impact the surrounding area."

Locals have until Thursday, October 26 to have their say on the plans.

Spinney Hill Fish Bar already has a five-star hygiene rating and is very popular with locals, with consistently positive reviews on Trip Advisor.
