Warwick care provider shakes off 'requires improvement' rating

A Warwick home help service has shaken off a previous 'requires improvement' rating from a government watchdog following its latest inspection.
Now rated 'good', Grande Care Ltd was inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in July.
The latest report into the Millers Road business found improvements had been made across the board.
Grande Care is a homecare service providing personal care to adults of all ages, people with dementia, mental health conditions, a physical disability and a sensory impairment
"The provider was previously in breach of the legal regulations in relation to safe care and treatment and good governance," the latest report said.
"Improvements were found at this assessment and the provider was no longer in breach of these regulations.
"Following our last inspection, the registered manager had completed further qualifications to ensure their effective management of the service and compliance with legislative requirements.
"The registered manager had worked with people, their relatives and staff to build a culture focused on putting people at the centre of their support and where staff felt able to speak up, confident their voice would be heard.
"Staff described the registered manager as visible, supportive and encouraging of their professional development."
Grande Care was rated as 'requires improvement' in 2023.
It is now rated 'good' across all six areas of care.
One of the areas singled out for improvement was a need for more detail in medicine care plans to "reflect people's capacity and independence and to ensure accurate records were maintained".
