An independent bookstore in Warwick is asking for support over the Council's EV parking plans.
Mog and Pauline, who run Warwick Books, at Market Place have shared a message on Facebook expressing concerns over the council' latest green initiative.
It comes as Warwickshire County Council's proposed changes to on-street parking rules.
The plans involve converting existing parking spaces into 'electric vehicle only' bays as part of the wider Countywide EV Project plan.
Specifically, the changes would convert 11 standard parking spaces into ones designated solely for EVs.
Mog and Pauline shared on Facebook: "As those who know us well know, we are very conscious of environmental impact and really do our bit.
"We support initiatives that encourage people to make good, green choices. But this latest action is extreme, has little evidence of impact and will have a detrimental impact to our little shop, and others in the centre of Warwick.
"People do use these spaces for a quick pop into our shop and others, and without them they will go out of town.
"If you feel able to put our case to the powers that be, we would be so grateful."
