Vacant Warwick shop could be turned into house
By James Smith 28th Jan 2026
A former Warwick wine bar could be turned into a house if plans are signed off by Warwick District Council.
A planning application has been submitted for the building on High Street for it to have a change of use from commercial to residential.
If approved, the scheme would see the property turned into a four-bed home.
"The proposal does not involve any increase in the building's footprint, height, or volume," the application said.
"The development comprises the change of use of the entire building to form a single residential dwelling, utilising the existing floorspace efficiently and appropriately.
"No additional floorspace is proposed, and no subdivision of the building into multiple units is sought.
"The amount of development is therefore considered appropriate for the site and its town centre context."
