Two women collapse on Warwick street for Google Maps prank
By SWNS 24th Apr 2026
Google Map users had a nasty surprise when they spotted what looks like two women collapsed in the street.
But the shocking images aren't quite what everyone initially feared.
It turns out the scene is nothing more than a perfectly timed prank.
Pictures initially show two women sprawled on the pavement on Priory Road in Warwick.
As the Google Street View car continued to track the road, one of the women with blonde hair is seen covering her mouth in shock.
Her friend is pictured lying on her back with her mouth open and staring into space while the contents of her bag is spilling over the pavement.
Despite the disturbing scene, another snap taken by the car shows the woman lying on the ground bursting into laughter.
A final shot shows her even waving at the Google car as it drove down the road.
The cheeky hoax has been hailed as "genius" by social media users who spotted it over the Bank Holiday weekend.

One wrote on Facebook: "If anyone goes drinking this weekend, just don't go as mad as these two women in Warwick! Pace yourself."
Another quipped: "Genius timing for those two. A tad concerning the Google car just carried on down the road regardless. Not like they can say they didn't notice it considering the cameras on board!"
It's not the first time people have pulled off funny pranks in an effort to be spotted by Google's cameras.
One naughty dog walker previously saw an opportunity to cheekily flash his willy.
An Aussie also pranked Google by following a Street View operator down the road while sticking his middle fingers up at the camera.
