Two teenagers arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after Warwick hammer attack

Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a suspected hammer attack in Warwick.

A 17-year-old boy remains in a "serious but stable condition" in hospital following the incident in Tapping Way yesterday (Saturday 16 September) afternoon.

He was taken to hospital with a serious head injury after paramedics administered first aid at the scene.

Police were called to the scene at 4.53pm to reports that the boy had collapsed a short distance away in Coten End.

A 16-year-old boy and 18-year-old man - both from Leamington - have now been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

The incident occurred between 3.50-3.55pm.

The victim's next of kin has been made aware.
