A new Timpson pod is now up and running at Warwick's Tesco.

Planning permission for the unit was granted in April, adding to the company's 500 sites nationwide.

The pod has seen four spaces removed at the Emscote Road supermarket - and other locations across the town had been considered.

The shop offers a range of services including dry cleaning, key cutting, shoe repairs, watch repairs and engraving.

Its opening hours are 9am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and then 10am to 4pm on Sundays.

When Timpson first asked for permission for the pod, the company said: "The pod relies on the footfall created by way of its location adjacent to an existing superstore and the preference is for these pods to be located close to store entrances, or within stores themselves."

It added: "Given the size of the pods and the nature of the retail offering, most custom comes from linked trips by existing shoppers.

"It is unlikely that customers would seek to utilise the pod in isolation from a wider visit to the existing superstore."
