Locals have just two days left to have their say on plans for a new Co-op in Warwick's town centre.

The national retailer has hinted at a new site in Market Place by submitting a licence application to Warwick District Council.

Heart of England Co-Operative has applied for a premises licence at 40 Market Place which was home to The Original Factory Shop until it closed in mid-March.

The unit has since been on the market with Completely Retail but is now listed as 'under offer'.

The application to the local authority asks for permission to sell alcohol from 6am to 11pm, seven days a week.

It says this would be the usual opening hours for the premises.

Residents have until May 14 to comment on the licence application, after which the council will make a decision.
