A Warwick clothing shop is set to host its first charity fashion show next week, in partnership with a new local restaurant.

Diffuse Retail will head to No 75 Bedford Street in Leamington Spa on Thursday 27 June for a night of fashion, food and fundraising.

The Smith Street store was launched earlier this year by Hannah Teale, with an emphasis on sustainable clothing and retail.

That will also be a theme of the show, which is being run in aid of Fashion Revolution, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting a "clean, safe, fair, transparent and accountable fashion industry".

"We were looking at running the event in April as part of Fashion Revolution Week, but the event had to be pushed back due to building works," Hannah told Nub News.

"But now we are ready to host the event next week.

"No 75 is a really lovely setting and we want as many people to come down as possible."

The event will feature three different themed sections, each showing off parts of the Diffuse Retail range.

Guests will see the models show off daytime outfits for weddings and events, evening wear for parties and formal attire.

The models include friends and family of the organisers, and range in age from 17 to their early 60's.

"We want to show the breadth of the range we have at Diffuse Retail," Hannah explained.

"And we want the real women of Warwick to be involved.

"We have a great range of ages and body types - it is great to have so many people involved."

Fashion Revolution was founded following the Rana Plaza disaster in 2013 during which 1,134 people were killed and a further 2,00 injured when a clothing factory in Dhaka, Bangladesh collapsed.

Since then the charity has held a dedicated week every year to raise awareness of abuses within the fashion industry, and to raise funds to help lobby for change.

"I have followed the charity for a while," Hannah said.

"They want to see a more sustainable and ethical industry.

"This year is their 10th year and it was their 10th Revolution week in April.

"They really try to do a lot in terms of policy and actually make a difference in the industry."

Tickets for the fashion show cost £20 and will include a free arrival drink, canapes and of course the chance to watch the show.

A raffle will also be held, with prizes donated from local businesses including, Vivienne Whelan Personal Stylist, Maddison's Jewellers Warwick and Warwick Racecourse.

And with just days ahead of the event, Hannah said she and the team are really looking forward to it.

"I am really excited about next week," Hannah said.

"There will be food and drinks, and we have a great setting for our first event - No 75 have been so helpful.

"I have never run something like this before myself, but I think it will be a really fun girls night out, without anything superficial or anything that is too forced.

"And it will be raising money for a really worthy cause."
