Council planners have given a boost to plans for six new homes at a village paddocks.

Stratford-on-Avon District Council has granted permission in principle for the new homes at Hornbeam Paddocks in Norton Lindsey.

Permission in principle means outline plans have been agreed, but a more detailed application with the design of the homes is needed before building can begin.

The application for Wolverton Fields said: "Residential development of up to six houses on land measuring 0.49 hectares is acceptable in principle when assessed against the relevant criteria for a permission in principle application.

"With regard to its green belt location, the proposed development [is] both 'grey belt' and does not constitute inappropriate development in green belt."
