Speed limits around Hatton could be changed if plans are signed off by Warwickshire County Council.

Hatton Green Parish Council has asked for the speed limits to be dropped on several local roads with plans plotting 20mph for three streets.

Meanwhile the speed limit on The Green could be dropped from 50mph to 20mph.

A council report explained: "The reduced speed limit will help improve the environment for vulnerable road users, such as wheelchair users, horse riders, pedestrians and pedal cyclists where there are no footpaths.

"The village has a church and a primary school which is used by residents and visitors to Hatton Green.

"Motorists will be travelling at a slower speed, and therefore more aware of safety issues when driving through the village."

If approved, the plans would see 20mph limits for Starmer Place and a section of The Green.

Plans are labelled as a "high" priority.

Locals have until October 13 to share their feedback on the scheme.
