1. Warwick's Smith Street Party returns

Warwick's anticipated Smith Street Party returns this Saturday (26 July.)

Check out Nub News' deep dive into some of the independent businesses on Smith Street, to familiarise yourself with them in our three-part series 'Discovering Smith Street: Stories behind Warwick's independent businesses'.

Kicking off at 10am, the day will see Smith Street transformed into a vibrant market, packed with local traders and businesses popping up on the street. 

Expect everything from handmade jewellery and sweet treats to skincare and pet goodies – there's something for everyone.

Throughout the day, there will also be plenty for families and kids, including a face painter on hand.

Organisers said: "A big thank you to Baxi, our event sponsor, and to all the hardworking local businesses on Smith Street who have helped bring this event together."

2. Warwick Folk Festival begins today (24 July). 

The 45th Warwick Folk Festival will run at Castle Park in Warwick from today  (Thursday 24) and runs until Sunday 27 July.

From legendary headliners to incredible up-and-coming artists, this year's festival promises to be truly special.

The family friendly festival brings the local community together for a celebration of folk history, dance, and general revelry over four days. 

This year the headline acts include Richard Thompson, Le Vent du Nord, Kate Rusby Kate will be performing songs from her extensive catalogue, as well as her iconic favourites.

Visitors can enjoy a full programme of concerts, sing-arounds, dance, intimate acoustic performances or full-on gigs.

Weekend ticket prices start from just £147.

Visitors can choose from Friday to Sunday tickets, Thursday to Sunday tickets or just visit for the day, plus under 14s go free!

3. Warwick Markets

CJ's Events Warwickshire is also hosting its weekly market on Saturday 26 July in Warwick's Market Square.

The weekly market runs in the centre of town every weekend from 9am to 3pm.

Organisers said: "Warwick Market is a great opportunity to shop in a vibrant open-air setting, surrounded by many independent shops and cafes. On our Market, you will find variety and value, sold by new and experienced traders.

"You'll find stalls selling everything from fresh fruit and vegetables, plants and cut flowers, to fresh baking, fish and clothing, to gifts, and food specialities."

If you can't make Saturday's market, you can also head to Leamington for the Covent Garden markets on Sunday 27 July, also hosted by CJ's Events.
