Here are our top picks for the coming days:

1. Autumn Food Festival

A new Autumn Food Festival is coming to Warwick this weekend, organised by CJ's Events Warwickshire.

The company, which already organises the very popular May food festival in town, is bringing its latest offering on Sunday, 29 September from 11am to 4pm.

With the 2024 food festival having moved to St Nicholas Park for the first time a few weeks ago, the Autumn Food Festival will be hosted in the town centre in Market Place.

As ever, there will be a huge range of food and drinks traders, with over 50 businesses coming to the town centre.

CJ's company said: "We decided to introduce a second event, the Autumn Food Festival, to further support the local economy and draw more visitors to the town centre.

"This new festival will provide a platform for our local independent businesses to showcase their offerings and increase foot traffic in Warwick…

"We are working with the town council along with the chamber of trade to ensure events have a positive impact on Warwick town."

2. PlayBox Theatre launches Autumn Season 2025 with Goodnight, Mister Tom production

Playbox Theatre is launching its 2025 Autumn Season from today (25 September).

Opening the season will be a major new production of Michelle Magorian's acclaimed novel Goodnight, Mister Tom, adapted for the stage by David Wood.

The production runs at The Dream Factory, Warwick until Sunday 28 September, with tickets available now to book online.

Goodnight, Mister Tom is one of the most beloved children's stories of the 20th century.

It tells the story of young William Beech, an eight-year-old boy evacuated from London during the Second World War, who is placed in the care of the reclusive widower Tom Oakley.

Against a backdrop of loss and upheaval, the two form an unlikely bond of love, healing, and resilience.
