CJ's Events Warwickshire "regrets to announce" that all markets scheduled for this weekend are cancelled due to safety concerns ahead of Storm Bert.

Warwick Market and Leamington Christmas Markets will not take place as winds of up to 50mph are forecast on both Saturday (November 23) and Sunday.

"These extreme wind conditions pose significant risks, as they could compromise the stability of market stalls and traders' stock," CJ's said in a statement.

"Stalls at such speeds can become hazardous, potentially causing serious damage to people, property, and the surrounding area.

"This decision has been made with the safety of our traders, team, and the general public as our top priority.

"We are excited to continue the festive spirit with upcoming events next week, including the Warwick Victorian Evening and the Kenilworth Christmas Lights.

"Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you to these wonderful occasions."

See the CJ's Events Warwickshire website for more information.
