Locals in Warwick and Leamington are being invited to come and meet their local policeman at a new luxury care home which opened last month.

PC Max Christmas will be heading to Oakley Grange Care Home on a monthly basis to talk to residents and hear their concerns.

The first event was held earlier this month, and PC Christmas will next head to the Cox Gardens' care home on Saturday 12 October from 11am to 12pm.

This will be followed by more 'Cuppa with a Copper' events on November 6 and December 10.

"Join us at Oakley Grange for a cuppa with PC Max Christmas from Warwickshire Police," organisers said.

"PC Max Christmas from Warwickshire Police will host a drop-in session at Oakley Grange, giving residents and people from the community a chance to meet the local police force and talk freely about any local issues or things they might want advice about.

"Looking forward to our coffee mornings with PC Max Christmas and the chance to introduce Oakley Grange to the local community!

"All welcome for tea, coffee and cake."

The 66-bed Oakley Grange Care Home, which is part of the exclusive Cinnamon Care Collection group, is now open at Cox Gardens after months of work on site.

Oakley Grange promises to "redefine later-life living combining first-class care and assisted living with exquisite surroundings and superior onsite amenities".

In addition to the 66 fully furnished rooms, Oakley Grange also has five deluxe care suites, which each include an elegant living room and kitchenette - perfect for couples or those wishing to have greater independence.

The home has also announced a number of other events including a Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 27 September, and African Afternoon on Friday 4 October and a 'Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney Session' on Thursday 10 October.
