Luxury care home to mark first anniversary with celebratory party

Oakley Grange Care Home is marking its first anniversary with a celebratory party on Tuesday, August 19, from 2pm to 4pm.
The event promises a lively afternoon of music and food, featuring a barbecue, live entertainment from a saxophonist and pianist, and various games.
The celebration is also an opportunity for Oakley Grange to thank residents, families, and local organisations who have supported the home throughout its first year.
Home Admissions Advisor Olivia Cameron said: "One of the things that's really stood out this year is the strength of the relationships we've built, with families and with residents, and with the wider community.

"We just wanted to invite everyone back in to thank them for their ongoing support."
Reflecting on the past 12 months, Olivia shared her pride in what the home has achieved: "We're proud of how far we've come.
"Oakley Grange was purpose-built not just to provide outstanding care, but to offer a lifestyle.
"From our piano bar and weekly entertainment to the spacious rooms and modern facilities, it's been lovely to see people really enjoying everything we have to offer."
One of the standout features of the home is its cinema room, which hosts a Dementia Cinema Club on the second and fourth Monday of every month.
Earlier this year, Oakley Grange hosted the Dementia Bus, giving healthcare professionals and visitors a chance to better understand the experience of living with dementia, an emotional and eye-opening day for many attendees.
The home has welcomed a variety of local groups over the past year, including the Brownies, and the Big Sing Choir.
The Warwickshire Mobile Library now visits monthly and has also been well received by residents.
Olivia also highlighted some touching personal moments: "We try to tailor activities to our residents' interests - just last week, some of our residents went bowling for the first time.
"It's all about meaningful and personalised care."

Looking ahead, Oakley Grange plans to continue expanding its events calendar and welcoming even more of the community through its doors.
The care home maintains an active presence on social media, where local residents and family can keep up to date with upcoming events.
"We've got a very busy Facebook page," Olivia added.
"We love to welcome the local community, whoever they may be, to be part of what we're doing."
