Intern shares excitement as Warwick's RYTC launches innovative Creative Clubs Collection
By Nadia Sayed 16th Jul 2026
The award-winning creative writing, drama and arts for children theatre, RYTC, is launching a new Creative Clubs Collection.
From performing arts and games to circus skills and more, every club is built around the same principle that guides all of its provision.
Children choose the adventure, and they explore it together.
Along the way, they have opportunities to build confidence, develop new skills, and discover what they enjoy. Whether a child loves the spotlight or would rather practise juggling quietly in the corner, there's a club designed to help them feel welcome and take part.
One of the RYTC's internship students has shared what being part of the RYTC means to her and her excitement for the Creative Clubs.
Ayla shared: "Psst there's a little-known secret … for all those who love to perform and for all those that prefer to watch, those that want to challenge themselves and try something different and those that want something new to do. The Leamington Spa Festival has taken place every year for over 100 years, it started around the time the Titanic launched! Imagine, children from that time, coming up on stage to share what they love whether it's reading a page from their favourite book, opening a debate or performing a piece of Shakespeare, much has changed in 100 years yet the passion for performing or being entertained hasn't.
"I discovered the Speech and Drama part of the festival three years ago and it has been a highlight of my year ever since, even going when it fell on my birthday. I first went, I admit with some reluctance, as a way to practise my LAMDA pieces as I had not been in front of an audience before by myself. If it sounds daunting going up on stage and performing, I agree, but I felt much better once there realising others were sharing the same feelings with me. Someone told me that being nervous or excited use the same butterflies. Now I have learnt how to try to feel confident.
"Now there's a new NEW secret I want to share. Creative Clubs are about to be launched. They are a way to go to the festival with new friends and so much more. If going on stage is not your thing then a role of keeping nerves away to those about to perform is? Could you be that smiling face of encouragement I and others need or simply being present to enjoy our performances or take inspiration for your own for next time.
"Doing DofE? Why not try Creative Clubs for learning that new skill. Needing to do the spoken part of AQA English for GSCE? Make it fun through Creative Clubs.
"Feeling those butterflies? Let's agree it's excitement and get started through Creative Clubs."
