Local award-winning independent financial advisers took part in the Coventry Cathedral abseil recently (27 September), raising vital funds for Myton Hospice.

Simpson Financial Services (SFS) have never been the kind to shy away from a challenge, especially when it's for a good cause.

Several team members braved the 90-foot Coventry Cathedral descent in support of the charity while several more showed their support in donations - from the ground.

Whilst there were a few shaky legs on the roof of the cathedral, there were no regrets as together the Leamington-based firm raised an impressive £1,316.

This builds on other fundraising activities held this year and contributes to their overall goal of giving back to the local area and those in need via regular charity and community events.

In total, the event brought in around £60,000 for Myton Hospice.

The day also featured live music from singer Danny Manic, along with a food and drink stall, with all profits generously donated to the cause.

The abseil came just one week after the SFS team attended the charity Warwick Dragon Boat Race, which took place on 21 September and resulted in a team member taking a swim...

The race caused a splash with SFS raising £1,258 for Myton Hospice and Birmingham Children's Hospital.
