Popular Indian restaurant Fusion Clan, on Smith Street in Warwick, has brought back its much-loved original menu, following strong demand from loyal customers.

After its recent menu update, the restaurant found its regulars missed the unique flavours and signature dishes that first put Fusion Clan on the map.

In response, the team has reinstated the original offerings, much to the delight of its customers.

Run by Aby Joseph, Joshi Johny, and Thomas P Mathew, Fusion Clan opened for the first time in January last year (2024), with a soft launch for friends and family.

Aby said: "Fusion Clan is bringing you flavours of South India entwined with European cuisine to surprise your taste buds like never before.

"You will experience Indian flavours in a way you would never think of.

"All mains come with thoughtfully paired sides to complement each dish.

"Indian food shines with the right accompaniments, so guests can order extra sides to enhance their experience."

Starters:

Among the returning favourites is the Chef's Special, 'Pan-grilled Scallops'.

This gluten-free starter is delicately spiced and served with baby leaf salad and a smooth butternut squash purée.

Other standout starters include the 'Bruschetta of Roasted Field Mushroom'—a vegetarian dish featuring Malabar-spiced mushrooms with garlic and onion, finished with a touch of double cream and truffle oil on crispy potato cakes.

Classic starters include 'Chicken and Mushroom Fry', consisting of pan-fried chicken liver and mushrooms with bold Keralan spices and herbs and sweet potato chickpea fritters made of spiced dumplings served with a vibrant fennel and coriander chutney.

Mains:

Moving on to the mains, the kitchen offers a creative selection of fusion dishes, with meat, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options sourced fresh and locally.

By popular demand, the 'Seafood Platter' has returned.

Described as "a symphony of ocean flavours, crafted the Fusion Clan way," the dish brings together pan-grilled scallops, golden squid rings, king prawns, and Keralan-spiced sea bass fillet, served with a rich molee sauce, mini dosa, and house chutneys.

Another signature offering is 'Kumarakom to Cornwall', which fuses South Indian and British coastal influences.

It pairs Keralan-spiced grilled sea bass with traditional cassava (kappa) and vegetable thoran, echoing flavours found in Kerala's toddy shops.

Seafood lovers can also indulge in the 'Prawns Mango Curry', where king prawns and sweet mango are simmered in a creamy, mildly spiced coconut sauce.

The dish comes served with fragrant Jeerakshala rice and kathrikai roast.

There are also plenty of vegetarian options, including its popular slow roasted 'Cauliflower Steak' dressed with a spinach and chickpea sauce with a hint of cumin and red peppercorn, served with grilled portobello, cherry tomatoes and connoisseur rustic chips.

Desert:

For dessert, the menu is equally indulgent.

Choose from churros drizzled with cardamom-infused toffee sauce or a 'Mindful Chocolate plate' with warm triple chocolate brownie, chocolate ice cream, white chocolate and blood orange mousse.

Ice cream enthusiasts will find plenty to love with flavours like clotted cream vanilla pod, triple chocolate, rhubarb and custard, strawberry, alphonso mango sorbet, and orange sorbet.

Another delicacy on the dessert menu is a special Keralan treat – Pradhama, a traditional paysam dessert made with bamboo rice and palm jaggery, served with caramelised banana and poppadom crumbs.

Fusion Clan's return to its roots is a flavorful celebration of tradition and community, welcoming loyal customers with the return of a beloved menu, created by Joshi Johny, who has over 20 years of experience in kitchens in the UK.

"If you fancy a flavourful journey that goes beyond borders and celebrates the rich culinary tapestry of Kerala, come down to Fusion Clan", said co-owner Aby.
