Should bookings be reintroduced at Warwickshire's tips?
By James Smith 12th May 2026
Locals are being asked to share their views on recycling centres in Warwickshire and how they are run.
The county council wants to know what residents think about waiting times, staff helpfulness, the layout of the sites, opening hours and on the recent no-booking trial.
A public consultation has been launched today (May 12) and will run until the end of the month.
Warwickshire County Council said it will use feedback to "inform future decisions about how recycling centres operate and how they can best meet residents' needs".
This will include whether to reintroduce bookings or continue without. A trial for no bookings was launched last year.
Cllr Darren Cheshire, portfolio holder for environment, heritage and culture, said: "Our recycling centres play an important role in helping residents recycle safely and responsibly, and we want to make sure they work as well as possible for everyone.
"This survey is a chance for residents to tell us what works and what could be improved. We are encouraging people to take part whether they use the centres regularly, occasionally, or not at all, as every response will help shape future decisions."
"In particular I would like to thank site users for bearing with us during the No Booking Trial as I know there have been a number of impacts on the sites during the trial period."
