Weeks of road closures to allow for the works at St Mary's Church to be completed have now been lifted, Warwick Town Council has confirmed.

Road closures around Northgate Street, Church Street and Old Square began at the end of January and have been removed today (April 19).

Over the past three months the scaffolding around St Mary's has been removed, as the Campaign 2023 repair project winds down.

The near £2 million project has seen repointing, pointing, repairing and replacing the eroded stonework completed at the church.

The tower is hoped to reopen to guests on May 4, allowing locals the chance to climb the 160 steps to the top.
