The road behind Warwick Railway Station will be shut until the middle of August.

The link from Coventry Road To Cape Road shut on Monday 17 February and will not reopen until August 16.

The closure is part of the ongoing - and delayed - works at the station to install new lifts.

Network Rail last year updated plans for the 'Access for All' scheme approved after the discovery of Victorian building remains where the new shafts were to be built put the breaks on the scheme.

The concrete lift shaft on platform one will now have to be outside the building, with a lift motor room still planned for inside.

Stairs inside the station building to the subway will be filled in, with a new set of stairs built in the car park.

The remainder of the station building to the east of the existing stair area will form a new retail shop.

The new staircase and cycle shelter relocation will mean three spaces are lost.
