Rip-Off Britain: MP Matt Western calls for evidence ahead of Parliament debate on consumer grievances

MP Matt Western has called for evidence ahead of a debate in Parliament on Consumer Affairs (Rip-Off Britain), which he is hosting this week.
He has asked the public to share examples of times they have felt let down as consumers.
This includes being charged an extra pound "because you purchased a couple of items in the local express or local store, because you couldn't make it to the superstore," or "being charged £100s more for a train or flight because there was an event on in that town or city."
He said:" We've all heard the nightmares of dynamic pricing and how consumers can be led to believe something is a great deal when really, it's not.
"Too often, the consumer loses out and this needs to change."
To share your examples, email matt.western.mp@parliament.uk.
Mr Western expressed that he is particularly keen to hear of any examples of those who have no option but to shop at smaller express or local versions of our superstores due to being unable to travel or walk to the superstores and end up paying higher prices as a result.
